According to latest data, the number of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same years, the number of female centenarians nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are keen to receive stories from centenarians, their relatives or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and changes.
